FAMILY MINISTRY PHILOSOPHY

ROLE OVERVIEW

The High School Ministry Leader seeks to serve the Lord by overseeing and participating in the spiritual formation of the 9th through 12th grade youth at St. Andrew’s and walking with their families by providing time, resources, training and teaching.

Rector Job Description
The Rector will fulfill Trinity Church's mission of building a community where faith, family, and friendship thrive. This will entail providing spiritual guidance and support, developing and executing ministry, events, and outreach, leading liturgical services, and managing the church's day-to-day operations.

Salary negotiable, but has a starting range of 80,000 - 95,000 depending upon experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual guidance and support to members of the church and community.
  • Identify and develop leaders
  • Lead worship services through Word and Sacrament
  • Preach, teach, and disciple
  • Oversee church staff, volunteers, and ministries
  • Develop and execute outreach vision and programs
  • Initiate and maintain meaningful relationships with church members and future church
    members.
  • Work with Wardens to guide the church into the future and oversee care of facilities.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree in theology (preferably MDiv or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience as a pastor (prefer experience as a Sr. Pastor or significant leadership history
  • Ordained within the Anglican tradition; otherwise ordained in a similar tradition with a
    willingness to be ordained within Anglicanism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational and administrative skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to work with our current Rector for a smooth transition
