OPEN POSITIONS in AMiA Churches
YOUTH EVANGELIST AND MENTOR - Immanuel Anglican Church Destin
Immanuel Anglican Church in beautiful Destin, Florida is looking for a full-time, salaried Youth Evangelist and Mentor to join our team. This position is similar to a Young Life, Youth for Christ or Campus Crusade for Christ position but based within a supportive congregation. This is NOT a traditional Youth Pastor/Director position. In the first year, more than 70% of time and energy will be devoted to building relationship in the community and sharing Christ with students.
Immanuel Anglican Church is a three-stream Anglican community that emphasizes liturgy, Bible and the Holy Spirit.
- Liturgy – We drink deeply from the ancient wells that have sustained the Church for 2,000 years: the liturgy, creeds, rhythms and Sacraments of the Church.
- Bible – We read, mark, pray and digest the Holy Scriptures as our “measuring stick” for all things related to salvation and righteous living.
- Holy Spirit – the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Guide, Counselor, Advocate and Helper, and empowers us for ministry. We are a Charismatic Anglican congregation that is open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our worship. Immanuel has a long history of inner-healing prayer and other empowerment ministries that need to be offered to the youth of Destin.
Destin, Florida is on the Emerald Coast of Florida (Western Panhandle). Destin’s claim to fame is the large charter fishing fleet and white sand beaches that make it a family vacation destination. However, there is an underbelly of pain and despair that affects the young people and service workers. We are looking for someone who can empathize with the younger generation and who is passionate about bringing hope, healing and purpose to this hurting generation.
