Epiphany begins 12 days after Christmas and ends the day before Ash Wednesday. It is the time when we celebrate the visit of the wise men as recorded in Matthew 2:1-12.
Collect: O God, by the leading of a star you manifested your only Son to the peoples of the earth: Lead us, who know you now by faith, to your presence, where we may see your glory face to face; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Come join us to hear Emmy Wilson preach and teach on the Holy Spirit at All Saints Dallas on Sunday, January 27, 2019; ASD Worship 9am and 11am and ASD First Fruits 5pm.
After Emmy’s last visit in October the Holy Spirit has been flowing through All Saints and all those who came to be with us that weekend, and we had to have her back!
We invite you to join us! Please click here to RSVP and get details.
Emmy Wilson became involved in Prison work in 1991, helping as a part-time volunteer in the chaplaincy team at HMP Holloway, the largest women’s prison in London. In December 1994 she began taking teams to other prisons in the UK to support chaplains who wanted to start using the Alpha course. This work grew rapidly and an Alpha for Prisons department was created at Holy Trinity Brompton in July 1997. There are now many prisons running Alpha in the UK, and 80 countries worldwide registered as running Alpha for Prisons. As well as the prison ministry, Emmy has led Prayer Ministry and Listening Prayer Training and corporate prayer meetings at HTB. She also enjoys speaking at evangelistic events and is a member of the College of Evangelists.
Twice a year, as part of their Fall and Summer Alpha courses, All Saints Church Dallas hosts a retreat to help people learn more about the Person and ministry of the Holy Spirit. Many who come experience not only close fellowship and meaningful worship, but also gain a fresh, or perhaps for the first time, indwelling of the Spirit. Join us to see what this kind of retreat could do in your community. To get all the details and RSVP please click here.
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ TEACHING and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” Acts 2:42
A new kind of AMiA event is debuting this Fall, and we call it Living Classroom.
Many of you have asked the AMiA questions like:
What are other churches doing to grow and flourish? How do we set a new course for our church? What does it look like to be an AMiA church?
Living Classroom will offer workshops and classes to help teach and encourage clergy and lay leaders. Like Clergy Retreat and Winter Conference in years past there will be times of worship, fellowship and being together, however, the primary focus of Living Classroom is equipping our clergy and lay leaders for the frontlines.
The first Living Classroom event will be held at All Saints Dallas’ new location in downtown Dallas, 901 S. Ervay. Come and see!
