Blessing of the Fleet: An Immanuel Anglican Church Tradition Since 1958

On May 13, our Lead Bishop, +Philip Jones, joined Caleb+ Miller, Senior Pastor at Immanuel Anglican Church in Destin, Florida, for the Blessing of the Fleet. Other pastors from throughout the Destin area participated as well in this community event.

Immanuel Anglican Church created this annual tradition in 1958 to ask God's blessing over each boat in the Destin Fishing Fleet. It has now expanded to offer prayers for any vessel, captain and crew that makes its living on the sea.
