January 24-27, 2018
Winter Conference is a pinnacle point each year for the Anglican Mission in America. As a mission society called to raise, release and support leaders and communities of faith to reach the lost for Jesus Christ, we set aside a few days annually to stop and reflect. We take focused time to celebrate what God is doing in our midst and, being led by the Holy Spirit, we recalibrate our sometimes-wandering attentions to the mission to which God has called us.
What to expect
This year, we are honored to have two exemplary keynote speakers: Dr. Cherith Fee Nordling and Dr. David Fitch. They will invite us to “Come & See” our Lord, our faith and our world with new eyes, and will challenge us to partake of a greater grace and a fuller obedience. In addition to their sessions there will be a number of “breakout” sessions that will cover topics to help us “Go & Tell,” equipping us for ministry in new arenas with new approaches.
There will be many prayer opportunities: Bishop Silas will lead Time with Abba each morning at 6:30 a.m. in our prayer room and then we will offer morning prayer, led by AMiA clergy, at 8 a.m. There will also be prayer teams available to pray for you at our evening worship services.
Prayer and healing ministry has always been a vital aspect of our identity in the Anglican Mission. At Winter Conference this year, we invite everyone, laity and clergy, to learn, grow and participate in a special Prayer and Healing Ministry Team Training, to be held on Wednesday, January 24. The Rev. Shawne Brown and Sheridan Banks will co-teach the training and lead the 2018 Winter Conference Prayer Team. Registration for the training is requested.
What to do
The conference will be held at the Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum located at 14901 Dallas Parkway, Dallas.
