During the opening service of Winter Conference 2016, Bishop Philip Jones, AMIA’s Apostolic Vicar, focused on three words: humility, clarity, and unity. These words from the Lord were woven throughout the next three days as more than 200 people gathered to worship, fellowship, and learn together.

Installment of New Rector General and Commissioning of the Regional Vicars
During the Opening Worship Service Michael Blanchat was installed as AMIA’s new Rector General.
There was also a special commissioning of AMIA’s Regional Vicars
Father Simon Ponsonby was this year’s plenary speaker, delivering three talks on what it means to be transformed by the Holy Spirit
Three sets of mini-talks were given addressing the themes of “Why Anglican,” “Living on Mission,” and “Being a Society.”

Hearing from Ministry Partners
One of the highlights for many during Winter Conference was hearing updates from our mission partners in India and Canada and getting the chance to spend time with members of the College of Consultors.
