Apostolic VicarThanks for a Great Year!

I want to give thanks to God for you all and the joy of leading this Anglican Mission Society. I have always enjoyed being part of a team, whether athletic, family or church. Every team has a vision and this is certainly the case in The Mission. With front-line freedom, disciplined structures and spiritual oversight, our vision is to evangelize and disciple North America and reach its more than 140 million unchurched people. Our primary way of doing this is through three-stream church planting. Personal evangelism, chaplaincy programs and programs such as Alpha and others provide lots of creative space for outreach.

Many of you have been on the front lines, pushing back the darkness, establishing new
apostolic works, planting or preparing to plant new churches or campuses. I am grateful for each and every one of you.

Probably the greatest single reality we have tried to present at our events this year was the challenge of the call. Do you feel called to be part of The Mission? You may be willing, but are you called? Our talks have focused on the clarity of what we are being called to and our expectations as a society. We have done our best to clearly articulate these norms and expectations.

Power and authority… Mission and movement… Called and committed… Humbled and
dependent…This is who we are. This is The Anglican Mission. I rejoice to be your Apostolic Vicar and look forward to all that God will continue to do in and among us in 2015.
